memory : the dress my mother made for me to match hers; i was three years old. corduroy was easy to obtain in those days. she'd put me in the stroller and walk us to the 5 and 10 where she could buy different coloured threads. they had a pulley system so you payed the lady and she put your money in a tube, which was sent by pulley to another lady hanging suspended from the ceiling in a booth with the cash register. then she'd stick your change in the tube and send it back down to you.

memory : the problem was there were no bugs on that planet,
nothing to really support "higherr" life forms. so they decided to go elsewhere.
